To my surprise, he didn’t realize that California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) was just a hop, skip, and jump away from his new place! It’s a friendly reminder that when searching for a home, proximity to consistently good dining options can make all the difference. After all, who doesn’t love a spontaneous dinner out without the hassle of a long drive? 🚗💨

California Pizza Kitchen is nestled on the west side of Marguerite Parkway, and its charming location is just the cherry on top! 🍒 The restaurant boasts a private parking lot surrounded by lush greenery, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With plenty of shade for your car, it’s a win-win for those sunny California days!
Upon our arrival, it was clear that CPK is a popular choice among locals. The buzz of excitement in the air and the crowd waiting for tables told us we were in for a treat. While we anticipated a 20-minute wait, my friends were tempted by the Chipotle next door. But who could resist the allure of CPK’s delicious pizzas? 🍕🤤
A Warm Welcome and Cozy Vibes
As we stepped inside California Pizza Kitchen, we were greeted by a friendly hostess who offered us a table outside. The outdoor seating was inviting, but the chilly breeze nudged us to choose a cozy spot indoors instead. The restaurant’s large windows let in a flood of natural light, creating a warm and cheerful ambiance that instantly lifted our spirits.
Our waitress was attentive and quick on her feet, ensuring our glasses were always full and our needs were met. To kick off our meal, she brought us a basket of freshly baked bread that was simply irresistible! 🍞As a CPK regular, I had my heart set on the peach iced tea. However, I was a bit bummed to find out that peaches were out of season, resulting in a less flavorful drink than I remembered. But no worries—there was plenty of delicious food to make up for it!
Time to Dig In!
When it came to ordering, we eagerly scanned the menu, excited to see some new pizza options since my last visit. I decided to stick with the classic Greek pizza, topped with avocados, while my friend opted for the Jamaican Jerk pizza with its spicy flair. I also ordered a cup of Split Pea Soup to warm me up. While the soup was tasty, it didn’t quite hold a candle to the offerings at Soup Plantation. 🍲The Greek pizza was a delightful medley of Mediterranean flavors, featuring grilled chicken, mozzarella, and a refreshing chilled Greek salad on top.
The homemade tzatziki sauce was the cherry on top! Meanwhile, the Jamaican Jerk pizza was a flavor explosion, boasting grilled chicken, applewood smoked bacon, and a sweet Caribbean sauce. Yum! 😋As we savored our pizzas, we couldn’t help but notice that CPK was serving a seasonal pumpkin cheesecake, available only until Christmas. Talk about a sweet reason to return! 🎃🍰

As our meal came to an end, we were pleasantly surprised by the politeness of our host, who graciously opened the door for us as we left.
